DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CHIEF PILOT TRAINING & STANDARDS (CPTS)
The CPTS is responsible for the definition of flying training and maintaining a high quality, efficiency in training and standards for all flight crew. He is responsible to the DFO.
- Ground and Flight training of Flight Crew requiring any training which is based on Regulatory Requirement(s);
- Establish required safety related procedures in the OM-D and keeping it current;
- Assures that only qualified and, if required, instructors an examiners accepted by the authority are performing the training and checks, and that only approved, suitable and adequate training organizations and devices are used;
- Any and all corrective action(s) resulting from quality audits within his area of responsibility;
- Ensures that the training programs and checks are performed and recorded as prescribed;
- Directing and controlling personnel in his jurisdiction on all disciplinary and professional matters;
- Ensures storage and safekeeping of training and check records;
- Corresponding to DCAM in training related matters;
- Ensures training roster is monitored to ensure compliancy and efficiency;
- Act as Project Owner for any project or development programme assigned to the Training & Standards Section;
- Recording and analyzing of any deviation from The Company’s standard and ensuring corrective action and evaluating the safety record within his area in order to avoid the development of undesirable trends;
- Responsible for the selection and training of all training personnel (Final selection of all TRIs and submission of proposed TREs to DCAM will be subject to the approval of the DFO.);
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the DFO.
