MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AFTER THE FLIGHT

After the flight the Commander shall ensure:
  • That the OFP and Aircraft Technical Log are completed and signed. They shall be completed in such manner that erasure is not possible and that all changes and corrections are easily identifiable and errors remain legible;
  • Protection of data recorded on FDR and CVR in the event of an accident or serious incident having occurred by, but not limited to, pulling circuit breakers;
  • That aeroplane is handed over to the next crew or to the maintenance personnel, or parked, locked, sealed and secured properly;
  • That the cockpit is left in good order with all documentation and equipment stored in standard manner as defined in OM Part B;
  • On aerodromes without handling personnel under contract to the Company (e.g., after a diversionary landing) that all passengers, the aeroplanes load and the aeroplane are well taken care of. He must also ensure the security of the aeroplane;
  • Filing of written occurrence reports as prescribed in OM-A Chapter 11, communicating also by telephone, e-mail or facsimile if necessitated by the urgency of the matter;
  • Notification of the appropriate local Authority without delay in the event of any emergency situation that necessitated action in violation of local regulations and/or procedures, and submits, if required by the state of occurrence, report to the appropriate local Authority and also to the Local Authority;
  • Alerting the attention of appropriate personnel to technical and operational particulars and problems encountered.
Other chapters of Operations Manual may additionally define duties and responsibilities of the Commander after the flight.
